ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR STUDENTS OF PART II & PART III

  • July 2018: Commencement of session after end of University examination. Beginning of classes for Honours and Programme Course.
  • August 2018 (1st to 7th): Class Test after one month of teaching in each Department. Dates to be fixed Department wise within class hour. Classes continue. 
  • Mid August 2018: Internal Assessment to continue in the form of Group Discussions, Student Seminars and so on. (To be fixed by each Department) 
  • September 2018: Home Assignment topics to be communicated to the students. Special Lectures by Invited Teachers to be organised.
  • October 2018 (1stto 14th): Assignment submission and evaluation to be finished.

                PUJA VACATION FROM 15/10/2018 TO 11/11/2018

  • November 2018 (12thOnwards): Identification of weak students for special attention (for example, Special Classes, Remedial Session etc.) based on performance in Class Tests, Class activities and submitted Assignments.
  • December 2018: Revision of the syllabus. Remedial classes, Tutorials and Special classes to be organised for slow and weak learners.
  •  January 2019: Test Examination.
  • February 2019: Form Fill up for University Examination (Tentative).
  • March 2019: Final Revision of the syllabus on the basis of needs of the students
  • April 2019: Examination conducted by the University.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR STUDENTS TAKING ADMISSION INTO SEMESTER I (JULY 2018 - DECEMBER 2018)

  • July 2018: Commencement of new session after admission. Beginning of classes for Honours and Programme Course.
  • August 2018 (1st to 7th): Class Test after one month of teaching in each Department. Dates to be fixed Department wise within class hour. Classes continue. 
  • Mid August 2018: Internal Assessment to continue in the form of Group Discussions, Student Seminars and so on. (To be fixed by each Department) Students to be encouraged to contribute towards wall magazine.
  • September 2018 (1stto 15th): Home Assignment topics to be communicated to the students. Special Lectures by Invited Teachers to be organised.
  • September 2018 (16thto 30th): Assignment submission and evaluation to be finished.
  • October 2018 (1stto 14th): Identification of weak students for special attention (for example, Special Classes, Remedial Session etc.) based on performance in Class Tests, Class activities and submitted Assignments.

  • November 2018 (12thOnwards): Final revision of syllabus and Remedial Classes for Slow Learners.
  • December 2018: Tentative commencement of Semester Examination from 1stDecember as notified by University of North Bengal.

  • Mid February 2019: Internal Assessment to continue in the form of Group Discussions, Student Seminars and so on. (To be fixed by each Department) 
  • March 2019 (1st to 15th): Home Assignment topics to be communicated to the students. Special Lectures by Invited Teachers to be organised.
  • March 2019 (16th to 31st): Assignment submission and evaluation to be finished.
  • April 2019 (1stto 13th): Identification of weak students for special attention (for example, Special Classes, Remedial Session etc.) based on performance in Class Tests, Class activities and submitted Assignments.
  • April 2019 (16thOnwards): Final revision of syllabus and Remedial Classes for Slow Learners.

  May, 2019 - Summer Recess

  • June 2019: Tentative commencement of Semester Examination from 1st June  as notified by University of North Bengal.

Students may consult the teachers during the Summer Recess. Teachers can fix up a schedule with the students according to their conveninence for holding Special Classes, Tutorials and Remedial Classes.

In between regular classes, students have to be motivated and encouraged to participate in Awareness Programmes, Cultural Programmes and Extension Activities organised by the College.
