Welfare Measures for the Students of the College

Session 2021 - 22

The College has always been sensitive towards the needs of the students. Therefore, during the COVID - 19 Pandemic, an intiative was taken to vaccinate students of the college. 300 students from the college were identified who were yet to receive their first dose of  vaccination.

With assistance received from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health & District Health and Family Welfare Samiti, Alipurduar; vaccination camp was set up within the college premises on 10/09/2021 in the first phase and the first dose of COVID Vaccine was administered to 300 girls of the college.

In continuation with the effort of vaccinating students, second phase was organised again on 26/09/2021 and first dose of COVID Vaccine was administered to 260 students.

In continuation with our efforts to make students aware of various helath issues, a Magic Show was organised in association with Health and Family Welfare Samity, Alipurduar on 06/12/2021. Through this magic show, students were informed about HIV, Thalassemia and also COVID - 19. 113 students participated in the programme.

Session 2022 - 23

It is a known fact that girls in North Bengal are prone to being carriers of Thalassemia. Therefore, a Thalassemia Testing camp was organised on 22/11/2022 in collaboration with Alipurduar Nilkanta Mukherjee Welfare Society. 131 girls were tested. The reports were also made avaiable to them.

Session 2023 - 24

The College completed all the formalities to procure Concession Booklet from the Indian Railways. This would enable students to get concessional railway tickets whenever they are travelling.
